Morning Musume Anime Expo theme song + USA CD releases!

Morning Musume’s “3,2,1 – BREAKIN’ OUT!” Announced As Official Anime Expo® 2009 Theme Song

Nation’s Largest Anime and Manga Convention Announces Official 2009 Theme Song With Up Front Agency and JapanFiles.com

Anaheim, California and Tokyo, Japan (April 20, 2009) — “3,2,1 Breakin’ Out!” by Anime Expo® 2009 Guests of Honor MORNING MUSUME, is announced as the official convention theme song for this year’s event held July 2-5, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. More information can be found on the website www.anime-expo.org.

Written and produced by prolific music producer TSUNKU♂, this “3-2-1 Breakin’ Out!” will appear on all Anime Expo® 2009 media campaigns. “Hello, How do you do? I am TSUNKU♂!”, states the legendary producer, writer and musician, “I am a producer of MORNING MUSUME I am happy to hear that there are many anime fans in America. I think Anime culture is universal and I’m glad to hear American people are so into it. I believe good anime remains a masterpiece forever. At the same time, there is a very important element: music. I think music is a universal language, and music should be enjoyable from generation to generation. I am proud that MORNING MUSUME has made the theme song for Anime Expo® 2009. The concept of this song is positive power even during hard times.

I wrote this song just for Anime Expo® 2009. I imagined everybody’s smile when I wrote it, and I’m looking forward to seeing you guys at the MORNING MUSUME concert. I hope new great energy will be born at the convention from this collaboration between Japanese and US culture, and that it will last into the future.”

A :30 second preview sample of this song will be available on the Anime Expo® 2009 website and on JapanFiles.com’s MySpace page (www.myspace.com/japanfiles).

In connection with the MORNING MUSUME performance at Anime Expo® 2009, JapanFiles.com will produce physical and digital USA CD releases of both PLATINUM 9 DISC and “Shouganai Yumeoibito” (which includes “3,2,1 - Breakin’ Out!”). Both CDs will be identical to the regular Japanese releases, and PLATINUM 9 DISC will also include random member photo cards.

New 320 kbps bit rate for JapanFiles.com downloads!

Almost 5 years ago, JapanFiles.com started the first digital download service focusing exclusively on Japanese music.

Back in 2004, 192 kbps was our standard.

Our downloads have always been DRM-free, and our customers have been able to play their music on any device.

But over the years, our customers needs have changed -- their iPods and hard drives hold more music. So it's time for us to step up and deliver higher-quality MP3s.

We've worked hard over the past few months to expand our contracts with major labels and indies alike, and we're happy to say that we've been able to get across-the-board cooperation from our Japanese partners to increase our digital bit rate to 320 kbps for all music downloads!

All new releases since January 1, 2009 have already been available at 320 kbps.</b>

We've begun the process of retro-fitting our catalog as well -- some of our best-selling artists have already had their music converted in our system, like girugamesh, Dazzle Vision, Hangry&Angry, ketchup mania, Head Phones President, etc..

In the coming weeks, we'll continue this process and your favorite artists will have the higher-quality files as soon as possible.

Q: How do I know if an album is available at 320 kbps or 192 kbps?

A: Every album now displays 320 kbps or 192 kbps directly under the album jacket.

Q: Wlll every album be converted to 320 kbps?

A: We'd love to say "Yes" -- but unfortunately some of the material from our early indies partners isn't available to us at the present time. We'll do our best to track everyone down, but some artists may take a bit longer.

Q: What if I already bought music at the 192 kbps bit rate? Can I download the album again for free?

A: YES.

Any users who have purchased music that's been upgraded to 320 kbps can replace their music tracks for free.

Users can contact us at any time through the *Contact Us* tab in the top menu.

Simply tell us which album(s) you'd like to re-download and we'll credit your account after we've verified your purchase.

Thanks to all of our users who have joined us these past years in supporting Japanese artists!
